Angels being busy….

Sleep went sliding through the cracks in my peace
where it split like a ripe tomato roasting on the vine,
so tired it hurts,
the swelter in my heart
hotter than the wilting summer heat
as I reached an arm out floppy
to tag heaven in

for some new ways of seeing
with cooler eyes,
and to maybe find some fresher ways,
like a handful of new paints
in colors I haven’t met before

and I start laughing at the words
that tumble naked from my mouth,
“angels,  be busy”
kind of giggled wholehearted
because the knot at the end of myself is feeling rubbed in butter
and I dangle,  swinging low.

And,  wouldn’t you know,  they swung lower still,
to carry me home to that roomy space inside
where the river’s running sweet and healing water
and how it calms my wiggly spirit,
when I slide into the flow

and,  yeah,  I’d rather do life with more polish,
like a band that’s tight
instead of what I am
but I believe that it’s enough,  this holy generosity
that covers and keeps and restores tattered wings
while angels being busy
wrap my bits of earth in freedom,
infusing now with forever
like they do.

My blog  was broken down for awhile and I’ve been patient waiting
while Michele of Be Inspired Designs
helped fix the flat and get me up and running again.
She is pretty wonderful like that.

So much thanks for coming around to visit again!
You.  You just make me sooooo glad:)

Welcome back. I have missed your warm, colourful, richly poetic self.

Jennifer, it must be the worst feeling of being personally violated when someone does that. I lost some blog post by my own fault when I was so tired and careless and all it took was a slip of the finger to wipe out 24 of my posts and comments. Very heart breaking and frustrating, yours however was violated by some mean spirited hacker….So sorry this happened.

I’m so glad that you got your blog fixed and running again. Yes, Angels have been busy to restore your blog.
    Happy blogging my friend.

such beauty if find here…in image and word. my wings feel tattered, grounded, and not the good kind of grounding…beginning to dip my brush in color again…that seems to help.

Yes, my friend, YOU ARE Enough.. Isn’t it a great feeling to know that we don’t have to make ourselves into enough on our own? I am so thankful for those angels my Heavenly Father sends around to carry me through!! I love how HE made you Jennifer, so full of words that describe the HEART of things and us.. I love the YOU that you so freely share and in return we are touched..

You are fearfully and wonderfully made!
    Hugs from ME-

Jennifer, whoever wrote to you that you are fearfully and wonderfully made is a rich and dear friend indeed. I always settle in soft to your words, wiggle in my chair and stretch my shoulders…knowing I’m in for something special. Nothing to take for granted. Ever. How you must love this season with its color. When I was a little girl and frightened about something, I would call to the fairies under my bed: “Fairies, Fairies, come out from under the bed.” Then, I would lay back and wait until the fairies presented their swaths of color on my bedroom wall. I was never afraid of the dark again.

I am so glad you are up and running again. Your words and images, as always, feed my soul deep inside…they fill me up and provide space for me to show up in the world, knowing it’s a better place because of you.

I’m so glad you are back on the blog. Your gorgeous images and wildly poetic words, such open, uninhibited expression of self — well, it helps make my heart soar at possibilities. Possibilities of language, of color, or thought, or redemption. Glorious.

Yes, indeed, it’s enough to be who we are and to surrender to the flow of life with awe and faith in our hearts. Angels do come round every single time to lift us up. If we ask them and if we’re willing. Beautiful post, Jennifer, as always. ♥
