pssst….passing you a note

Hey friend,   you know that breath you hold?
the one you may be saving back
until you feel permission
to relax into your place
at the universe’s table,

that breath you suck in tense
until the someday when you’ll feel like you’re enough,
where you’re still feeling a little less than

…..can I pass you a note
into that suspended place?

There is something quietly and genuinely significant about you
already.
There’d  be a sad,  dark hole in this living canvas
without you.
You’re a custom fit,
particular and priceless by design.

Would you maybe go look up at the stars tonight?
See how they shine,
winking and nodding and noticing you back,
the whole inky blackness of the vast night sky
a mat rolled out in welcome
for,  yes,  that would be you,

DSC02986editededited

the universe extended gentle and generous
to affirm you just exactly where and how
you are,
each of your feelings mattering,
each of your needs worth meeting,
each of the beats of your beautiful heart
highly prized by the lover of all wild things.

What if you let that exorbitant love name your value
and let that breath go.
Stand under the great wide sky all small and mighty and cherished
and breathe all the way down past the dregs of that fear
and embrace it,  your fit and flow.

I totally dare you.

Thanks for coming by to visit;  this post may ring a tad familiar,
as I wrote and posted it awhile back,  but I’m celebrating love this month
and I wanted to serve it up again,  with some fresh hope on top.
Just passing along a loving squeeze from the universe:)

Oh how this would free us….accepting self….allows us to not become self consumed but self accepting leads us to accept others….

    Love you my friend!

You are so right Jennifer, we are all priceless creations, made lovingly by our Creator. Every cells cries for love and acceptance. The sun shines for everyone, we matter a great deal and God doesn’t create junk.

It saddens me when I see someone not liking who they are, living with the misconception that they don’t measure up. Hiding from the camera because they don’t like who they are or they only see themselves as ugly or not good enough… living on the comparison scale… God is the most masterful Creator and he stand behind his creation 100%. I will look at the stars and I will also look down by my feet and see the tiny ant that is there because God cares for each one of us and love us unconditionally.

    Sweet peace and much love.
    Hugs.

I took your challenge and went out and looked up at the sky, there weren’t that many stars… it’s a city sky, but I acknowledged their presence and tried very hard to believe that they acknowledged mine. I took the exhale… letting go of all the pain and the
anxiety and the rush of fear that you challenged.
I am quiet inside tonight now.
It’s late, but it was warm enough to stand outside in just a coat and breath and watch the sky.
I read your “note” and I am going to work on on the worthiness and remind myself that there is no prerequisite.
Thank you for all of your love and especially for sharing it and your wisdom with the world.
I love your blogs and your images you paint with your words. The world needs more of yous that are willing to step forward and expose their hearts and fears and acceptances and growth!

When I read the title of this post, I immediately thought of how I passed notes back and forth in elementary school…unknown to the teacher! HA! Prehistoric texting!

I love this line: “What if you let that exorbitant love name your value and let that breath go.” Your poetry fills me with lovely butterfly kinds of things. Thank you!

    shucks, I know that

dark skies there..hmm…dark…..not afraid of it then
just see the brilliant twinkling lights of the heavens
    hug…..did you celebrate Candlemas day?

Hi Jennifer! I am coming over from Friday Five.

I love your encouragement. Who doesn’t feel like holding their breath from time to time? Like what they say won’t matter anyway? But we do matter. We are beautiful.
I love the image of light in the dark, so the part about the stars really spoke to me.

So nice to meet you today 🙂

    Oh Jennifer,

    what a gift to find
    your words shimming
    in the space between
    this breath
    and the next.

    What a gift to know
    you are breathing
    the same air
    under the same sky
    standing beneath the majesty
    of the moon
    shining brightly down
    upon you and me
    small and significant.

Lovely to find your words here this morning Jennifer. Thank you!
