one enchanted evening…
Enchanted, I followed the snowfall
into the park
and slid down the hill,
silent in the night
the quiet fell
soft as snow
and my heart knelt down
in wonder
and thumped hard with joy
as the sky opened wide,
belted out a mysterious hush
and wrapped me in the sound
this mercy falling down
gathering the me up
into swirling awe
and nudging me
more alive
in the living.
So grateful for this peaches and cream snow
and tickled you can wallow in it with me!

than being carried away.”

splendid, indeed! images and words….you sucked me right in! unfortunately, here in Atlanta we didn’t even see a flake.
Dang, those pictures are awesome. Even the first one could be black and white and it brings out the “color” of the event. Thank you dear one for sharing these. Brings me back to a time…… Hugs.
Amazing pictures and it sounds like it was an amazing experience as well…..I love reading about your adventures….
We didn’t get any; but it sure came to all around us…..
Enchanting is right! These images are gorgeous. Thank you for sharing.
The pictures look magical! I especially love the tiny snow flakes so close to the lens. We had some snow here too some weeks ago… but today looks like good Spring weather. 🙂
A magical moment filled with awesome wonder and beauty captured for ever in a split second and shared over the globe, that too is a wondrous thing and I’m feasting my eyes on what you saw miles away from here. Every branch and tiny twigs covered and not
overlooked with a fleeting blanket of mirthful white.
Thank you for sharing these awesome photos. They gladden my hear fickle heart.
Our snow storm somehow has lost it’s magic but I let his fierce wind carry my cares away for another day.
Hugs,
JB
Loved those photos of big snowflakes with your sweet words! Beautiful imagery and words to encourage me in my day. <3
Hello, Jennifer! I do feel best when I am out in nature. Admittedly, I have been outside enjoying our frozen season only one time this year. Your words are beautiful. Your heart is warm. You inspire me to experience my snowflakes today! Hugs to you, my friend, kathy

I’m so used to coming to your site and having my eyes washed with bright color. What a surprise to see mainly greyscale. Leave it to you to have glorious pops of color peeking out! Tee hee! Love what you have written as well.
Jennifer, I love this walk in Wonderland! The lamp in the first picture looks like a magic wand switching on the little snowy lights… 🙂
A wonderland these pictures are…don’t you just see the smile on the the wonder-makers face, and feel His good pleasure…
Jen, I love your responsiveness to the one calling you to play! So much if offered…to eyes that see!

oh how my inner kidlet wants to be there
to feel the soft snow falling
to breathe the crisp cold air
to hear the squeak of my shoes
in the white fluffy stuff
and reclaim a sense of wonder

That’s lovely — but sad about the frozen blooms. 🙂

I gasped when I turned into these photos. They are amazing and beautiful. I this your time in NC right now? I always think of the mountains with the snow and the valleys not so much. I have to say that when I see snow through your eyes, I actually like it!
