rollin' on the river…

I  love being swept along in river reverie,
letting the current take me bobbing and burbling
into come what may.
It’s gorgeous out here
where wild breezes whsiper and sing
and kiss dreams into bloom.

But I’m not a loner;
I want you along for the adventure.
Sharing the wonder draws it out long and sweet
like thick strands of golden maple taffy.
There is just more of the lovely goodness to go around.

I want to be able to look over at you,
squeeze your hand,
crinkle my nose
and flash you a silly grin
because it’s hard to believe we’re not dreaming
….that it really IS this beautiful
and I know it’s real
because you’re here too
sharing the sense of relish
in wherever the river takes us
as we lean into living out our
trueness
together.

I don’t want to lose touch
when the rapids spill us
(as rapids often do)
I want to be able to call out
“you alright?”
and share your laughter
when the tumbles tickle
or
serve up ice in my apple green bandana
when you bump a rock
and it hurts.

I’ll be taking down my old blog site
as soon as I clear these next few rocks.
Let’s don’t lose touch.
If you haven’t already plunked your picture
on the wall at my new place,
won’t you join me?

(big joyful thanks to you)

“The world is so empty if one thinks only of mountains, rivers and cities,
but to know someone here and there,
who thinks and feels with us,
and though distant is close to us in spirit,
makes the earth for us
an inhabited garden.”
-Goethe

You have such a gift, I felt those words, I felt the longing to exchange those goofy grins with friends I’ve not yet met and the wonderful flow of that river.
You know this goes into the book and I pray that book gets published.

Hi Jennifer, I joined your members and look forward to tagging along on your new site.

Your words transported me and for a few minutes I was feeling the water splash as we bumped into the rocks turning around and changing direction like in bumper cars feeling like a young girl again. Your words are magic. JB

Your new place is lovely. Though, not nearly as lovely as your great big, grace-filled heart.
