May your hearts be toasty and light….

choose wonderWhen I wake up
the morning of Christmas Eve,
somehow
I’m a little girl again
and there is magic in the air
and nothing is impossible
and all is light
and hope
and thick
with delicious mystery.

I love this day
most of all.

Then comes the Christmas quiet
….that sweet hush that falls once the house grows still
and everyone settles down to their own dreams.

No more busy rushing
or preparations
or bright ideas to work out.
Just peace.
And rest.

It’s Christmas.

Sending love and huge hopes that yours is the merriest
….may your heart be toasty and light.

(And to You….on your birthday,
“thank you” sounds cheap
and not at all enough.
Yet you broke not-enoughness
so now my small life and gratitude
are enough
in your strong, beautiful, capable hands.
So thanks and happy birthday
to the One who still makes enough
out of the cold stables and hard mangers
in my life.
I love you.
You are my joy.”)

    merry christmas, dear jennifer!
    a big huuuuuuuuuuuuug to you
in all your light & bright & stillness…
right now i'm at our family cabin
in northern mn & there's been a foot of
snow fallen…draping in big chunks on tree
& no wind…a chamber of quiet!
    (although some definite bustling inside!!).

    Oh Jennifer,
Enoughness! My husband keeps a sign up in his office that goes like this:
Jesus Plus Nothing = Everything. I'm so grateful today for His enoughness which is everything. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Cheri

It's Christmas evening and we are having a lull before we start cleaning up all the happy messes we've made. I wanted to stop by and wish you the merriest of Christmases. May you and your family enjoy laughter, love and peace. May you feel all the love that we feel for you. May you truly know you are blessed. Sending you much love! ~ Relyn
